Rumah Punawarman

Located in a prime residential area in Jakarta, this house sit in a very large plot (3000 m2).

In the tropic, ventilation is the key. Although it’s utilise air conditioning and are enclosed, it tend to favour spaces that blur the boundary between inside and out.

There is something sublimely sensuous about engaging with the great outdoors when sitting indoors.

We think of the interior and exterior as two distinct spaces — one for living, one for enjoying recreationally. However, with the design philosophy of "bringing the outdoors in," the designs are attempting to make the transition between indoors and outdoors more fluid.
